September 2018: South-West Volunteer / Athlete Awards

September 2018: At the EA South-West Conference Presentations event, the following Volunteer awards were made:

  • SW Athletic or Running Club of the Year: North Somerset AC
  • SW Coach of the Year: Chris Millard (North Somerset AC)
  • SW Official of the Year: Mike Strange (Bristol & West AC)
  • SW Inclusion Award: Colin Johnson (Westbury Harriers and VI Runners Bristol)
  • Run Together Group of the Year: Muddy Runners, Poole
  • Run Together Leader of the Year: Jo Jayes
  • Services to Athletics: Ronnie James
  • 'Spirit of 2012' award: Irene Brown
  • Volunteer of the Year: Mark Palmer
  • Young Volunteer of the Year: Holly Newman (Avon Valley Runners)

Also, the SW Council made for the first time a series of "South-West Athlete of the Year" awards:

  • Track Junior Male: Harry Gurr (Cornwall AC)
  • Track Senior Male: David King (City of Plymouth AC)
  • Track Junior Female: Emily Bee (City of Plymouth AC)
  • Track Senior Female: Emily Diamond (Bristol & West AC)
  • Field Junior Male: Sam Brereton (Newquay & Par AC)
  • Field Senior Male: Patrick Swan (Cornwall AC)
  • Field Junior Female: Emily Tyrrell (North Devon AC)
  • Field Senior Female: Molly Caudery (Cornwall AC)
  • Endurance Junior Male: William Rabjohns (Poole AC)
  • Endurance Senior Male: Tom Mortimer (Stroud AC)
  • Endurance Junior Female: Beatrice Wood (City of Salisbury A&RC)
