Age 14 or over, and -- er, that's it. You're welcome even if you've never competed in the sport.

Please note: This workshop is for a certificate of attendance ONLY. No licence and no insurance cover are provided as a result of attending this workshop. Good practice is for all volunteers to have an up to date and valid DBS check.

To qualify?
It appears that this course will now be presented only as pairs of 90-minute webinars -- there is no assessment. Course bookings can be made at The UK Athletics Hub Website (you will need to register with / login to the site).

Who Should Go On This Course?
"Supported by a series of interactive resources, Leading Athletics is perfect for anyone wishing to lead an athletics session. A must for those new to the sport, the resources include information on the roles and responsibilities of a leader, how to lead a fun and inclusive athletics session, and further information on how to develop your leadership skills. Crammed with ‘Top Tips’ for effective delivery, the Support Resource also explores the key principles of running, jumping and throwing events whilst providing technical information which support these principles" (it says on the EA website).

Course Dates:
In the Covid-19 situation, EA have arranged the presentation of this course as a pair of Webinars in two 90-minute sessions. This will probably become the permanent replacement to the previous arrangements.
