| Duration | 3 days total learning time (Flexible online learning followed by 1 in-person practical day) |

| The Purpose? | Prepare to deliver prescribed athletics sessions across a range of events with a Sessional Coach qualification. You’ll be able to deliver the basic and underpinning principles of athleticism, and develop skills across running, jumping and throwing. What you can deliver: Run, Jump, Throw activities to athletes aged 8 years and above. Exceptions include: the use of competition equipment for Hammer or Discus; Pole Vault activity; or full approach Triple Jump. All sessions must be based on either session plans written by a qualified Athletics Coach, or the Activities provided within the course resources. Following completion of the course, you will be able to coach independently without any supervision. You will be able to utilise Assistant Coaches and Parent Helpers if complying with recommended supervision ratios. Booking on the course includes access to mandatory online training modules in First Aid and Safeguarding. |

| Who Should Go On This Course? | This is good for you if you are new to coaching, or hold the Coach Assistant qualification. You should want to deliver prescribed training activities in your club or community, and enjoy working with developing athletes across different events and ages. |

| The Cost? | £237.50 (Affiiated Club price) or £322.50 (Others). Both prices include access to all Mandatory Training courses. |

| The Application Form? | Applications for these courses can now only be made on-line: at the EA Website. ACT QUICKLY: some of these courses fill up fast, others get cancelled because they think no-one wants them. Applications normally close about ten days before the course date. |
